Fair Days

We decided to be the "cool" parents and take Zoey to the fair this year. Neither of us was much interested in riding the rides or spending an extremely long time at the fair. I wanted to take Zoey on the carousel and try some of the new fried foods and he wanted to eat as much fried food as he could. So, we went with the knowledge that any time, Zoey could decide she had had enough...noise, people, being in her stroller...she had had it! She did surprisingly well. We were there about four hours, she didn't get fussy until her bed time hit and even then she was good if one of us was holding her. The fair presented her with a lot of firsts...

*First time feeding a sting ray
*First time trying aligator
*First time on a carousel
*First time seeing fire works
*First parade
*First time watching mom panic because a bee came too close

We had a good time, ate some good food...the fried cheesecake was wonderfully good! We paid the five dollars to go to the aquarium, she is definitely an animal person. Looked at some new car models coming out next year...she's going to be a car girl much to her daddy's delight. And flirted with Uncle B-Ry (as daddy calls him) on the way home. Can't wait to go back next year!!

Big Tex, last night before he burned down

Then they got too close

She liked the sharks at first....

  1. Just caught up on your blog. I love it! She is adorable and you are an awesome mother. Just the way you talk about her I know you are very devoted. I love that! Can't wait to see you both at the family reunion. Love you!
